Spreading the evening sky with crows

I Lullaby For The Working Class sono stati un grande e misconosciuto gruppo di fine anni novanta. Venivano dal Nebraska e prima di sciogliersi e disperdersi in molti altri progetti musicali del Midwest (Bright Eyes e Cursive i primi che mi vengono in mente) hanno pubblicato solo tre album di country-folk, tra i quali i primi due secondo me bellissimi, "Blanket warm" e "I never asked for light", pieni di canzoni in chiaroscuro, dolci e al contempo malinconiche, una spiccata vena acustica e testi un po' criptici, caratterizzati però da immagini evocative.
